Most Esteemed Alumni,

Hello again, and thank you for taking the time to read our 2nd ever issue of From the Actives!  This semi-annual newsletter (click here to view) comes directly from our house to our alumni worldwide. In this issue, Patrick Solberg (Corresponding Secretary) will touch on main happenings from the Spring 2010 semester, as well as further introduce himself and our 4 new brothers.

Personally, I’d like to emphasize the hard work of all of the brothers of Sigma Triton this past semester.  We have created a large push to reconnect with our values and with those who have paved the way to help get us where we are today.  That being said, I’d like to also thank those alumni who have responded with support and advice to facilitate our efforts.

With our endeavors raising thousands for various philanthropic causes, improving our ritual, and increasing involvement on campus, Sigma Triton is delighted to bring home the ‘09 - ‘10 Victory Cup to State College ! Our house was also named a Chapter of Excellence (2009) by the Greek Life Advisors, and it was given to only 3 of the 49 fraternities here at Penn State .

As our success grows, we can use as much support as ever! So please, feel free to contact myself, Patrick, or any other active brother to get involved.

What kind of men join fraternities? This question enters everyone’s mind at some point during college, when thinking about rushing or pledging a fraternity. One of our charge consultants from our national sent out a link to an article that sheds some true light as to the type of man that joins a fraternity. I implore you to take the 5 minutes out of your busy day and read this article.
